Love is rare

People from different age groups tend to weigh life aspects differently.

A teenager tends to seek external validation and attention.

A young adult wants to find a life direction and passion

A married person focuses on building and taking care of the family

An old person values their remaining time and energy of telling their past stories

In this demogratic background, people tend to find their ”soulmate” and ”accompaionship” in their own age group I assume.

Then among the same age group, in the competition-driven society/school/workplace, it is rare to have the relationship in which people is able to love for free.
