Why this blog?
The name Roofgazers comes from a cherished childhood memory of my mom and me lying on our rooftop. It was a hot summer night with a cool breeze, and the sky was filled with stars. As we gazed upward, she pointed out the Big Dipper, explaining its constellation. She also told me that if I am devoted, I could become anything I wanted: a scientist or even an astronaut. Two decades later, I found myself lying on a frozen lake in the Arctic Circle, gazing up at the stars and the northern lights. In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of tranquility and hope for the future. Now and then, I still look up at the night sky, seeking the comfort and peace absent in this mad world sometimes.
